Back to School Mini Session Cuties
Well, the first full week of school is under our belts and I am so behind on blogging (and cleaning, and organizing, but that's beside the point). So with school now into full swing I wanted to share some pics of the adorable, eager kiddos I had the opportunity to take some photos of at the School House Winery in Dover. It was so super cute to see them so excited to go back to school. I love this time of year. A new start to a new school year, with a new pair of shoes and a backpack :)

Back to School Mini Sessions
The time of year has come again (yes, already ). I know that you are looking at that right now and thinking, “WHAT?!?! Back to School? Really?!?” But if you think about it, in about a month we will all be going crazy getting the kidders ready for the first day back. Our house is always full of excitement (and a few nerves) as the new school year approaches. For our household, this marks the end of elementary school for our Gauge and only one more year until our little Reid heads off to Preschool. Whether it is the first day of kindergarten or the first day of junior high, it is a day to celebrate and remember just who your child is in these exact moments.
In August, I am going to offering some mini back-to-school sessions!!!! They will be super cheap and super fast. Plus, if you are a teacher, you are so in luck! You will be able to get 15% off your mini session. Just to show my love those wonderful men and women who shape our youngsters minds.
Each session will last up to 30 minutes and will be done on-location (to be announced) with a vintage school desk and books. Feel free to add a personal touch to the portraits by adding the details that help your child’s personality shine…favorite books, favorite outfit, sports equipment, etc. The cost for the mini sessions will be $40 which includes 4 units of choice & 10% off all other prints you order from the session.
There will only be 2 dates available, 3 if there is enough interest, so book now! Sessions will be held on August 14th and August 15th (the third date is to be determined based on the amount of interest). Space available on a first-come basis. Call, email, or message me on facebook to reserve your date and time.

Dominick at four months
Oh sweet Dominick! This little guy reminds me so much of my Gauge when he was that age. Adorable little smile, big round cheeks, and chubby little guy. Hi is just so cute!! At this age they are so into what is going on around him and he was just wide eyed and constantly looking to make sure mama was still in the room. He didn't want much to do with the crazy lady with the big black camera in front of his face, but I think even though we still got some super cute photos. Dominick's mom and I have been friends for over a decade. We have so many wonderful memories together and now taking photos of her first baby makes my heart full of joy!! Oh I just love this little guy!!

Tiny Dancer Breanna
This was the day (actually about an hour prior to) the tornado hitting our county. The weather was pretty rainy and yucky all week and we weren't quite sure we would be able to fit this shoot in. But we dodged the rain and finished the shoot in plenty of time to take cover. I was so excited to take Breanna's photos! This was the first set of dance photos I've ever taken and I loved seeing her all dressed up in her dance costume, makeup, pretty hair, and tiara. She is so quiet and a bit shy (which most parents look at me and say "Ya right!" when I say that about their child. Most kids are a bit shy when I become the person with the big black camera in front of my face. I have known Breanna's mom for oh, about 16 (oh my goodness is that possible?!?) years when we worked together at our wonderful retail jobs. And now I work with Breanna's dad, well almost, not the same office, but the same building. So it's a real thrill for me to photograph children I haven't seen since they were babies. I feel so honored to be the one to capture their memories.

Welcome to the world sweet baby Addison
I got the very special pleaser of photographing sweet baby Addison. She is baby girl #4 in this family and is just as precious and wonderful as her sisters. This photo shoot was especially meaningful to me because Addison's mother and I have been friends since junior high and have remained close throughout the years of marriage and children. I feel so blessed to have been a part of her first week and as the months pass, I'm sure you will get to see Addison grow. She was so good during this photo shoot and slept almost the entire time. She woke up at the end to give us a few open eyed shots. The cute little cow in some of the photos was a gift from her sisters and her mom wanted to include the cow to make the girls happy. Little did we know that the photos with the cow would turn out as cute as they would. What fun this shoot was! And holding a baby girl that small gave me a bit of baby fever :)
